This is a musical comedy so we are looking for actors, singers and dancers.
SYNOPSIS
This is the classic tale of Purim told in the style of a UK pantomime and incorporates song, dance, slapstick humor, audience participation and so much more. It is the perfect holiday fare for the whole family. All the favorite characters are there including Esther, Mordechai, Achashverosh, Haman and Vashti, and they are joined by the Fairy Godmother and a myriad of unexpected characters.
Cast of Characters:
KING ACHASHVEROSH – Pompous, clueless, out of touch, a bit thick, posh but dim
HAMAN – Evil, scheming, narcissistic, image conscious
ESTHER – Young, clever, natural
VASHTI – Feminist, ahead of her time, self-absorbed, vain
MORDECHAI – Politician, calm, proper, emotional, think Tony Blair
HEADGEAR – Buffoon, suffers from tantrums, self-aggrandised, coward
SNOTRIDGE – Thick as a plank, killer
FAIRY GODMOTHER – Cross-dressing, camp, panto dame
ZERESH, RECEPTIONIST, SECURITY GUARD, PRIVATE SECRETARY, LADY ATTENDANTS, UNEXPECTED CHARACTERS

AUDITION PREPARATION
- Please prepare a musical theater song (bring backing track or link to backing track)
- Please prepare a short monologue (max one-minute)
- You will be required to participate in a cold reading - sides will be provided.
