Youth theater positively contributes to young people's personal and social development. Even if the kids don’t end up pursuing careers as professional actors, there are so many other important skills that they’re learning that can be used in their everyday lives. These include self-esteem, self-reliance, self-worth, confidence, responsibility, heightened awareness, deeper consciousness, better and broader social skills, tolerance, understanding, friendship, and the list goes on and on.

Center Stage is a warm, nurturing and fun environment where their voices can be heard and where they can develop the empathy and responsibility needed to become the best version of themselves.

We offer weekly drama and theater classes for ages 10 to 18. Classes will be divided into the following age groups:

Group 1 - Grade 5 to 7 (Ages 10 to 13)
Group 2 - Grade 8 upwards (Age 14 and upwards)

Each group will meet once a week at their allocated day and time for the term. Class activities depend on the age group but can include:

Drama Games, Improvisation, Storytelling, Group Work, Devising Scenes, Trust Exercises, Character Development, Movement/Stage Dance, Voice Work and Performance Skills.

The course will culminate with a live performance showcase for friends and family. Each student will be included in this end-of-year performance.
